someone

from my sis's blog,

''I read somewhere that most of us girls meet certain "Someones" in our lives. First of all there's the Crush. He's the tall, good-looking guy who plays basketball, is the head prefect, the smartest guy in the school. He's usually older, and your heart flutters just a little more when he's ard, despite the fact that all the girls ard you start tittering foolishly as well. Then there's the Friend, the guy you tell all your secrets too, the one you go watch movies with, the one who sends you home when you get drunk. Sometimes you lose him because of mistaken love. The Stead, your first 'official' BF. The one who first held your hand. There are the badasses too. The Player, who cheats on you or chases other skirts for bigger assets or prettier faces. The Violent, the ones who scream at you or hit you. The Liar, who lies to get you, who lie to get out of trouble.

But the most important one is the Love. He might also be the One you regret losing. The one who you might have let go on a whim, but now regret. You like guys who resemble him, in temperament, in stature, in the way he makes you feel. It could be that you crave freedom, want to play the field before you 'finally settle down" But its too late by then. He's gone. You spend a lifetime of "what ifs" wondering if you had held on, would you be happier now? Or if you had met him later, would he be by your side now?

Usually most people don't even know that the Love is just right there. They don't get that there isnt a right age to watch out for the Love. It could be the guy you merely nod to when you pass in the hallway, or your buddy you joke and hug with for many years. The guy who sends you home safely when you are drunk, who carries you when your shoe snaps. Most of us settle for someone lesser, someone you can love with, not live without. Why? Because we think thats it for us at that age, we're mature, ready enough to choose the best-suited and live with it. We're wrong. Love doesnt discriminate age.

Love even if it means losing everything.
